Summer ’25: What Our Experts Are Saying About the Latest Salesforce Release

Introduction

The Salesforce Summer ’25 release is officially rolling out! With major improvements to automation, user experience, and data handling, this release is firmly focused on making Salesforce smarter and more efficient for real-world business users.
At Incloud, we took a closer look at the release notes and gathered our internal experts for an in-depth session to review and evaluate the most impactful updates. Here’s what stood out to us — and why it matters for your Salesforce operations.

1. Agentforce Takes the Lead: Smarter AI, Real Results

Salesforce is going all-in on AI with Agentforce — a suite of intelligent agents now available across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, and more.

  • SDR Agent and Deal Agent: These smart assistants are designed to help qualify leads, support reps during opportunity management, and automate early sales engagement.
  • AI-Powered Conversations: While voice capabilities aren’t live yet, the platform is already moving toward bots that can initiate conversations, log interactions intelligently & integrate with Call-center software.
  • Compliance-Friendly Storage: Since these agents rely on Salesforce-native data storage, organizations with strict data residency or privacy requirements (like Quebec’s Law 25) may now consider enabling capabilities that were previously off-limits.

What’s impressive is how these agents go beyond automation — they actually interpret the intent of an email and act on it. This isn’t just a chatbot; it’s an actual assistant. — Elysa

2. Big Wins for Admins: Faster, Smarter, Simpler Configuration

Several updates will have an immediate impact on Salesforce administrators and system owners:

  • Edit Permissions in Context: Admins can now update user or object permissions directly from the object or user record — no more navigating across multiple pages.
  • Assign Users to Public Groups or Queues Easily: You can now view and manage group/queue membership directly from the user profile.
  • Designate a Report Sender: It’s now possible to define an org-wide email address for scheduled report subscriptions — great for consistency and deliverability.

This is a huge time-saver, especially for clients who rely heavily on permission sets. It brings clarity to access management without adding complexity. — Angela

3. Flow Builder Just Got (yet) Another Major Upgrade

Salesforce continues to invest heavily in Flow, and it shows. This release introduces a number of features that drastically improve the build experience:

  • Improved Flow Creation Experience: A more intuitive interface with faster navigation and layout.
  • Approval Processes using Flow: You can now build multi-level approval paths directly in Flow with guided wizards — replacing legacy approval setup.
  • Trigger by Time or Geolocation: It’s now easier to launch flows based on specific times or user location.
  • Flow debugging Improvements: The Flow debug window is vastly improved and you can test failure paths more easily, and handle errors without relying on workaround rules.
  • Save as Template: You can now save a Flow you’ve built as a reusable template — great for standardizing automation across orgs or clients.

This might be the most mature release we’ve seen for Flow. The new interface, error testing, and template reusability really bring it to the next level. — David

4. Salesforce Go: An Assistant for Feature Setup and Discovery

Coined by our team as “the Pokémon Go of Salesforce,” the new Salesforce Go interface serves as a guided assistant for admins and a great way to discover new features.

  • It offers feature step-by-step configuration wizards, quick access to help docs and Trailheads, and tailored recommendations based on your cloud usage.
  • While currently focused on Sales Cloud, it’s expected to expand to Service and other clouds.

It’s more than just a help center — it’s a smart onboarding tool that walks you through key features and helps ensure they’re set up right. — Angela

5. Einstein Activity Capture Evolves — With Major Compliance Benefits

A significant behind-the-scenes update changes how email data is stored when using Einstein Activity Capture (EAC):

  • Emails can now be stored directly in Salesforce, rather than in external AWS servers.
  • This means emails can be reported on as standard Salesforce activities — and used as inputs for AI models.
  • This change makes EAC a viable option for clients in regulated industries where data residency used to be a blocker.

We’ll need to help clients monitor storage usage, but this solves a huge compliance concern that used to hold EAC adoption back. — Natacha

6. Visibility of Relationships and Record Rollups

Time saving results with better data visualization by viewing multiple record rollups in one place, great for business executives in Industries like Financial Services to make better informed decisions.

  • Visualize more Relationships with Actionable Relationship Center, by viewing many-to-one relationship type records – previously ARC graph only showed one-to-many or many-to-many relationship types.
  • On-Demand Record Rollup, allows for quicker and more near real-time data updates without waiting for schedules refresh cycles – configuration of multiple record rollup definitions can show multiple roll up results.

This is great for users, especially those in FSC, where they’re managing big books of businesses and have to make time sensitive market decisions. – Carmen
